Kilmarnock Willow Salix Caprea Pendula on 1.2 metre stem with big 'heads'Ask a Question
An umbrella shaped tree with stiffly pendulous branches clothed in late winter with masses of silvery catkins (pussy willows) studded with golden anthers. It grows in most soils but revels in wet soils and exposed aspects. Can be trained up to 3 metres in height but generally remains a little above the grafted stem height. Autumn foliage is bright yellow . Great as a small garden tree, great for bees and useful for flower arrangers. These plants are hand selected with perfect full heads and straight stems.
