BUYERS NOTES

This really is a classy choice for containers. Add a touch of elegance to your patio pots with the twinkling, star-shaped, pure-white blooms of these easy grow annuals. Plants are self cleaning, meaning spent flowers will simply drop away to be replaced with fresh buds. Will flower from June to October, coping well with extreme summer temperatures.

Sowing Information:

For earliest flowers from early June onwards, sow September to October and overwinter under glass. Alternatively for flowers mid-late July onwards sow January to February. Sow on the surface of a 7.5cm (3in) pot and cover with a very light sprinkling of vermiculite. Seal in a polythene bag and do not exclude light. Germination usually takes 14-28 days at 18-21°C (65-70°F).

Growing Information:

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow cool and well lit. Keep September to October sowings at 10-12°C (50-55°F) throughout the winter in good light and well ventilated. Water carefully so they do not sit in cold wet soil. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 30cm (12in) apart in a sheltered spot in full sun and light well drained soil.
